Now this is a very interesting piece of technology. I'd love to get others opinion on this one.

ow personally, I'm not one to use any sort of full Auto.  However you have to admire the technology that has been developed here.  Could future cameras have this sort of AI functions built into them? Talk about a big next step forward in Auto functionalities!

Doesn't look like anything I'd use, but I don't know if it'd be worth the preorder or not.

All I could think was, Ryan who?? lol Who is this guy? I don't know what's up when a site doesn't give any location, address, phone number, email address (except thru the site). Found info. in the Terms & Conditions but it doesn't seem like it should be necessary to hunt for it.

Not sure if there's any warranty, etc. Probably need to look at Terms and see.

You sure about that?  I was just looking and didn't find anything with the similar AI.  Actually didn't find anything.

A hand held replacement for the photographer.

I don't understand the point of this. No AI will know your intent, ever, and (as a software developer) I don't see now AI can ever figure out conditions in any consistently sensible way.

This device, as stated above, is a substitute for the photographer. We already have that: it's called "auto mode".

Meh.

Not feeling this one, it seems like a crutch to learning

Amazing technology, but this takes all the fun out of photographer. Pass for me.

Just think, with this tech out, will manufactures adapt this into the cameras 'auto' features?

They already do, in a sense. The JPG processing that takes place is based on a database of images in the camera. The camera then applies settings based on what it thinks is appropriate.

Maybe there's something special about this thing that I'm not getting?

Well it's brilliant piece of coding this company must have put together.  However it seems like a tool that would prevent you from learning photography.  Part of learning is sometimes the results of failure.  That forces you figure out what you could have done differently and adjust for next time.

Didn't this device break some records on Kickstarter?  I think so.  So there must be a huge market for it.  Personally not feeling it.  Although as already pointed out, bravo on the tech!
