Formatt Hitech bracket work with Lee filters 100 filters?

4 years 9 months ago #651404 by Jakov Barnes
I bought a Formatt Hitech kit 3 months ago after reading a number of reviews and article talking about them.  Love them and they have served me well.  However I lost my 10 stop filter and need to get another one.  I was thinking about the Lee filter system or 10 stopper filter.  Will that work on my Formatt bracket?

Thank you

Bracket? You possibly mean filter holder.

Such filters come in three sizes: 85, 100, and 150 mm.
most makers produce all three sizes and are perfectly
exchangeable in terms of thickness but be sure you
get the right size for your holder.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

100mm is 100mm, and most of them are the same thickness. Each manufacturer will give you the specs, and you can decide.

That said, do your research. There are other, better choices than the Lee if you don't want another Formatt-Hitech.

Yes, sorry I meant to say filter holder.

What's funny is that I have the same filters of yours and I'm using them on a NiSi V5 holder.  Works just fine.

You're all good, 100mm is 100mm.

I have the Ken Keminisky set of the Hitech filters, very nice.  The holder looks the same as my old cheap-o one I had in terms of size.  So I'm sure as others have mentioned, it will work.
