Which gimbal would you recommend for a first timer?

I've been looking at gimbals on B&H, Adorama and Amazon for the last couple weeks and one thing I have noticed is that either the gimbal has crappy reviews or 'good' reviews.  I haven't been able to find a gimbal with an overwhelming number of positive reviews.  Which makes  selecting one of these pretty difficult.  I spoke to a Adorama rep and he told me that many who buy a gimbal don't know what  they are doing and end up leaving bad reviews because of this.

Can I ask what gimbal you have, OR you know enough about that you can recommend please?

Buy the one with good reviews, otherwise you'll someday own two, a good gimbal and a poorly built one.....

Why so serious?

Most of my students and photo club members opted
for the Jobu Design line of gimbals… I use them too:

I'm sorry I should have clarified, I'm talking about gimbal like the Ronin S.

A buddy sent me this companies gimbal just 3 days ago  http://pilotfly.com.tw/home/48-pilotfly-adventurer-3axis-stabilizer.html  looks pretty nice from a spec list standpoint.  But there aren't much for reviews out there, so jury is out to lunch for me.   I'll see if I can find the video he sent me that got me interested.
