"Plenty of the stores you like to go too will have good sales". Ummmm, no. I don't even want to deal with all that mess! 
I didn't get anything this year either. Just not impressed with the sales. I think the only legit crazy deals are at places like Walmart and Target where they have 1 TV at something like $10, just to feed the mob and pick up all that foot traffic.
