Will you trespass to get the shot?

I just posted a video in the Neowise comet thread here.  He admits that to get the shot, he had to trespass:

Personally I will use best judgment  on the location before trespassing, but I have done it many times.

Just making chit chat here, will you trespass to get the shot?

People are not upset when one has such project…
that is if nothing is damaged and not too close to a
house, animals, or something. Sure, I did, no shame!

Light is free… capturing it is not!

So true, which is why common sense needs to be practiced here.

I have no problem jumping a fence if the coast looks clear.

Nope, I'm too scared of getting caught.  I don't know if anything will happen, I just don't want to risk it.

+1 same with me.  I’d be lying and kidding know one if I said I never have.  I just don’t make it a regular thing.

Residential -no

Commercial - yes

Residential will come out with a gun.  Commercial will have a security guard come ask you to leave if you get caught.

Never had anyone run me off with a gun.  Guess I have been lucky.

Normally no.   But I have, unknowing.  Turns out all the shots of the railroad tracks I took earlier in my photography journey were gotten because I trespassed on railroad tracks.  I had no idea that those tracks were considered private property.
