Art fairs

Has anyone had their own gallery in an art fair to sell your work? Did you sell matted prints or matted/frame prints? What sizes did you offer? Did anyone buy?

I have not, but the couple art fairs I've been too, it seems like the photographers make a decent amount of money from them.

I have attended quite a few and talked to the vendors. Many did a brisk business, mostly matted since frames are expensive and need to match the buyer's decor. Selling was primarily 5x7, 8x10 and 11x14. The photographer usually had one or two larger prints as a backdrop to draw attention, and of course, took orders.
They had business cards but the wise ones usually didn't have them out for pickup. This was to engage the visitors in conversation and try to get a sale that day. If the person seemed serious but not ready to buy, then they gave out their card.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thank you. I always wondered how they work, if they actually work to bring in some money.
