Photographytalk Articles

Many may not realize it but this site has almost 200 short, informative articles on it. The tougn part is finding what you want on those 19 pages. I found the article of the "rule of thirds" on page 19 after going though every page. We really could use a "Table of Contents" and a "category" list (Travel, etc). Check out this section and offer your opinions and advice.
Let's help make PT the only photography forum folks need.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

John - it's not as convenient as an Index but I found the same article using the built-in Search box.. I had to mouse over each result to find the one under "articles" versus all the others under "forum" and if there were 120 results, it wouldn't be so easy..

Alex - what would it take to add an index or archives list for the articles? Or is there some such feature already and I just missed it?

Agreed. I haven't found the feature. The "Search Forum" seems to include the Articles. That is the good news/bad news. If a word (or part of the word) is included in the article, it take an entire page to display each one and get to the forum posts.
If Alex is willing and able, perhaps the search could offer the option (if the site is so structured as to allow that). I know there are limitations to the software being used so it may take a lot of work. That's a management decision as to the return on investment.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

Thanks for the quick response, Alex. I know your programmers have their hands full. We seem to be getting a lot of new members, which is great.

Only in the kind words from Alex. (I do have a PT Messenger Bag and am working on getting it to hold two bodies plus lenses.) But I do mean it. This has become my "base site" with others used only when I can't find an answer here. Plus, this is where I find Crystal. ;)

I'm jealous that I didn't get a messenger bag. I guess Alex doesn't like me enough for me to try one out. :(

You know you are good in my book ;) Baydream is one of the three "Agents" (AKA Mod's) for PT... being a agent will get you a PT bag  we will be changing out mods every 6 or 8 months. So you may be picked for round 2!
