As icepics said the novelty wears off at sporting events unless there are those obnoxious folks too fueled by adult beverages harrassing you. But in general I've made some good friends from being "the camera guy" and it always is nice when you can blend in to the arena background because you've been around for so long that the regulars don't pay attention to you anymore.

After awhile people don't notice you to the point of walking in front of you and your camera (then sometimes they notice and go oh sorry..). Eventually even security ignores you or hangs out and chats w/you.

It's not zombie cheerleaders you have to watch out for at hockey games, it's the mascots and inflatable zooper dooper types.

Looking through someones blinds will get you into trouble but no camera is needed for that problem.
