When it comes to portraiture, a lot of photographers are afraid to get in close. Yet this image highlights how stunning an extreme close-up can be. The lighting here is superb - it’s even and consistent across the model’s face - and the inclusion of the dirt on her skin gives the photo an added element of visual interest. All I can say is, wow!
