Sometimes it’s worth taking a risk to create a better portrait, and as Abby Mathison shows in this photo, adding some movement and a reflection to the shot was well worth the risk. The manner in which the model’s gown flows outward gives this image a sense of being alive while the reflection is the perfect way to brighten up the foreground.
