Try These Metal Print Options for Your Next Photo
ArtBeat Studios, which is a printing company out of Irvine, California, won our 2020 Metal Print Shootout. This means that ArtBeat Studios created the best metal print, had the most metal print options, and the best metal print prices out of the six companies we tested.
And, they just released more metal print options. So, we figured we should tell you about it.
ArtBeat Studios already had three types of metal print finishes: white gloss, white matte, and silver gloss. However, they recently unveiled a new finish, white satin.
Since all of these metal print options can be a little overwhelming, we are providing you with this metal print comparison so that you can easily figure out exactly what you’re going to order next.
White Gloss
Out of all of ArtBeat Studios’ metal print options, white gloss is the most popular. The white gloss finish is the most popular because it allows the details of your photographs to shine through. If you’ve ever purchased a metal print before, then you may have been slightly disappointed by the fact that some of the finer details in your photo were lost. The white gloss finish was an attempt to get rid of this problem.
The white gloss finish is also one of the more successful metal print options offered by ArtBeat Studios because it produces the most vibrant colors. Once again, metal prints that come out of print shops with a lower quality of prints may lose some of their color. The white gloss finish won’t allow that to happen.
White Satin
So, ArtBeat Studios newest option, white satin, offers the same vibrancy as the white gloss finish, but with less glare.
Whereas the white gloss finish would look excellent in brighter areas, like a corporate setting or perhaps a coffee shop or art show, the white satin finish would look more at home in your home because it won’t catch quite as much light, which means it won’t reflect as much light back at you.

White Matte
If you’re really looking for metal print options with minimal glare, then the white matte finish is definitely the right one for you. Not only does the white matte produce almost no glare, but it also features a smooth appearance.
Of course, you will lose some of your color if you opt for a white matte finish. So, we don’t recommend the white matte for landscape or wildlife photos. However, white matte would look lovely with family portraits or baby photos.
Silver Gloss
Finally, the last of all of the metal print options is silver gloss. Silver gloss is the only metal print that is backed by a silver metal. This means that any photo printed with the silver gloss will let the metal of the print through for a more industrial or artistic look.
If your photo has a lot of white in it, then the silver of the metal will have an even greater chance of sticking out. We recommend that you use the silver gloss finish with black and white photos or with photos that have a high contrast.
Now that you know all of your options, it’s also important to know that each one of these finishes come with the same metal print wall hangers.
You can opt for a natural wood floating hanger, a black wood floating hanger, a silver aluminum floating hanger, or a black aluminum floating hanger. All of these options will make it look as if your metal print is coming off of the wall.
If you’re looking for different metal print mounting styles, you’ll be happy to know that each of ArtBeat Studios prints can be made as a recessed mount or as a flush mount. With a recessed mount, your print will look as if it is about 1” off of the wall, but with a flush mount your print won’t look as if it is floating at all.
Of course, ArtBeat Studios also offers a wide range of metal print sizes. You can get a print as small as 8 x 10 and as large as 40 x 60. You can even get custom sizes, since ArtBeat Studios cuts all of their metal in house. These prints start at just $26.
If all of these options haven’t convinced you to use ArtBeat Studios for your next printing job, then allow me to convince you further. I genuinely love working with ArtBeat Studios because their customer service is top notch. I’ve needed metal prints for shows before with an extremely tight deadline. ArtBeat Studios has pulled through for me every time and were incredibly communicative along the way.
