Sometimes you need to look good while you’re taking photos. Perhaps you’re a wedding photographer who needs some good-looking photography gear. Or, maybe, you’re working directly with a client and you know some stylish photography accessories will help you to look and feel more professional.
Unfortunately, a lot of stylish photography accessories are so incredibly uncomfortable that you’d rather look unprofessional than be in pain all day.
I understand the struggle. As a wedding photographer, I have worn uncomfortable stylish photography accessories more times than I can count. I genuinely think I was at least a little uncomfortable while shooting for the first two or three years of my wedding photography career.
I also understand that it doesn’t need to be like this. There are stylish photography accessories out there that are as functional as they are beautiful. The problem is finding them.
So, I’ve compiled some stylish photography accessories that I swear by for long days of shooting.
EDC Fieldbook
If you’ve read this blog for a while, then you know I swear by a lot of leather photography accessories. Leather is just one of those materials that last forever. Many of them even get better with age.
The EDC Fieldbook is one of my favorite photography accessories for this reason and more.
The EDC Fieldbook is a leather journal cover and pen caddy that holds everything you need it to. Of course, it holds your notebook so that you can always take notes while you’re shooting. It comes with a 4.625” x 7” side spiral notebook, although this is a pretty general size for a notebook so you should be able to find one pretty easily as well.
It also holds five or six pens and pencils so you never run out (because I genuinely lose every pen I’ve ever owned).
You can also ditch your wallet while you’re carrying your EDC Fieldbook because it has slots for your ID, passport and business cards.
And, considering this is an article filled with stylish photography accessories, the EDC Fieldbook also looks really good. It comes in a huge array of colors, like chestnut, navy, green, and black, and is genuinely pretty cheap for the quality.
You can pick up an EDC Fieldbook for $105.
If you do like the Rite in the Rain side spiral notebook (which is tear resistant) that comes in your EDC Fieldbook, you can also go to Holdfast’s website and get refills of that notebook for $11.
Holdfast Pen
You may not typically think about pens as “stylish photography accessories,” but that’s only because you haven’t seen a Holdfast pen.
Holdfast pens look like an old school chunky pencil at first. Each one is made out of a pure metal. They come in silver, brass, stainless steel and copper. Each one has the Holdfast logo emblazoned on the side.
Upon further investigation, you’ll see that the pen actually opens up in the middle. All you have to do is twist the pen and you’ll be able to access it for writing.
Obviously, these pens look so nice by themselves you’ll want to keep it forever. And you can because you can purchase a Fisher Space Pen 3.5” Pressurized Cartridge when your Holdfast Pen runs out of ink.
But, if you so choose, you can pair your Holdfast pen with a leather sleeve holder. This leather sleeve holder is just big enough to fit your Holdfast Pen. It comes with a clip on the back of the holder so that you can attach your pen to whatever notebook you happen to be using.
The leather sleeve holder also comes in a variety of colors, like chestnut, tan, and navy.
The Holdfast pen runs from $110-$130, depending upon the metal you choose. The leather holder will cost you $25.

SD Memory Card Wallet
If you’ve ever struggled with losing your memory cards, then you know how important having a safe space for them is. And, if you’re sick of digging into your camera bag everytime you need a new memory card, then the SD Memory Card Wallet may be a good fit for you.
The SD Memory Card Wallet is designed to carry 6 memory cards at once, while being slim enough to fit into your pocket if need be.
Each wallet comes with a small strap as well so that you can clip it to the outside of your camera bag for ease of use.
Each SD Memory Card Wallet comes with the Holdfast logo. These wallets qualify as stylish photography accessories because they also come in a range of classic colors that work well with the rest of the Holdfast gear.
You can get a SD Memory Card Wallet in brown, black, green or navy for $95.
Explorer Lens Quiver
If you don’t already have a good camera bag, then you’re being a bit preemptive by shopping for stylish photography accessories.
However, you don’t need to worry about it, because Holdfast has a good option for a camera bag as well.
The Explorer Lens Quiver is a really unique canvas and leather messenger bag that allows you to have immediate access to all of the gear you need for event or wildlife photography.
The Explorer Lens Quiver was designed with an arrow quiver in mind. The idea behind this bag is that a photographer should have immediate, one-handed access to all of their gear in the same way that an archer should have immediate, one-handed access to their arrows.
So, most of the pockets on the Explorer Lens Quiver are open. The bag features 9 total pockets. You should be able to carry two large lenses with this bag, along with a flash, batteries and memory cards.
The bag is made out of canvas and leather in a variety of colors, like indigo, olive, and khaki, and weighs only 1 lb and 3 ounces so that it is comfortable to wear all day.
With the Explorer Lens Quiver, you can carry all of your stylish photography accessories on your body at once.
The Explorer Lens Quiver costs $260-$275, depending on your color choice.
