Well aren't you clever. :judge: Isn't there a DIY section here you can post that to?

Will that work on a good camera too, like a Nikon???...........................:P

Just taken the plunge and brought home an AF-S 70-200 VRII.
I'm going to sleep with it under my pillow tonight.
My wife is looking at me strangely.

I bought a ring adapter so I can use my 72mm filters on my 58mm lens. I'm wondering if I'll use it much or if this is a good idea... comments?

Gotta be better than buying a whole extra set of filters!
If it works - it's a great idea.

I dropped about $1600 on a tripod system today finally.

Adrian, I went to get the full RRS setup, but the tripod legs are on backorder for god knows how long. Gitzo is just as good to me.

RRS L Plate for D3( I have D3s, so it'll work the same)

I bought a Hoya 77mm polarized filter last week, it was a replacement for one I lost a few weeks ago.

I just got a new flash. Yonguno YN462 I got it because it is not TTL and has an adjustment wheel so it can be adjusted to suit me. :toocrazy: I will have to play with it and see what I think.

Awesome, looks like you made a good choice. I see you got the Gitzo legs with the thicker part at the bottom, should be strong enough for you.

Yeah. If I have any problems with the Gitzo legs, i'll send them back and get the RRS legs in 2 weeks.

I am very excited to be able to use a VERY high end tripod for once. No more camera creep on the ball head. I'll be able to give my Lee big stopper and my Lee SW 150 for a real spin for a change.
